The Collum Lane is the informal name to the system which was nearly taken aback by the size of what had just jumped into it. It was a huge, hulking space station, a disgusting mass that was FTL capable. It was covered in primitive dishes and docks of the like. The docks were open and everything was in place, well lit, painted adverts were on the side of the space station, it appeared to be commercial.
The Station had everything it needed to be a commercial success, first of all, it was crewed by humans, the most recognizable species in the galaxy. Second, it was in a great position, a halfway station that didn't care, and it made the change from the Solar System to the Kotunga system less bad. Three, It was guarded, the whole fleet, bar 2 ships guarded the station. Not to mention the stations defence. Inside the spaceship would be strange, it was fake, the whole space ship was made of illusions of blue skies and medieval huts. The size of the ship, and its spacious ports were seeping life already down to the planets below the Collum Lane space station, only one habitable planet was to be seen in the system below, a bright, colour saturated marble to be known as Collum I.
Unfortunately, the colonists were clueless, aboard the faux space ship interior sat clueless peasants, boarding space ships and going down to the planet to tend the lands in the eyes of God. Amongst the original shipments of materials to the planet, would come simple tools. Stone drills, diggers, and prefabricated parts with instruction manuals for the average peasant to build. The colonization effort was saturated with life, some families would have to share their homes with others in the coming months due to the cramped conditions of the landing, thousands had volunteered for this new life, and there would be some effort in actually getting to them all down to the planet before the landing site landed was on the other side of the planet. This meant that over the next few days, there would be huge population increases. But for this first night, the 100 villagers of the starter colony village "Havenstrom" were on their own.
Havenstrom 21:13
"Papa, Papa look!"
A peasant with his sleeves rolled up toiled in the field, building the foundations of a home. At first he was annoyed his young son had stopped his efforts.
"Damnit boy, what is it n-"
He stopped, taken back by the way the new solar star painted the night sky, coating it in a deep orange, and throwing shades of purple onto the sky above him. Somewhere in there were hints of red too.
"Well if that isn't the work of god I don't know what is son."
The boy looked up at his scruffy father and sat in the fields helping him tend to his activities.

Havenstrom 08:24
The sun dawned Havenstrom, as new drops hips fell onto the planet and established themselves as houses, the people had survived the first night, roughly unscathed, more passengers and colonists landed on the planet, going as far to build a windmill out of prefabs, and a stone wall around the village, large, metal gates reinforced the small town, with armed sentries at the wall, using their gauss repeater crossbows.
It wasn't surprising at the rate of growth the village for from 7am to 5pm, over the course of the day 300 ships had landed, with more civilian vessels ferrying to the stations co-ordinates without the accord of the military. Havenstrom began to look strange, people built their own towns and saturated areas, however necessities, such as farm fields and logging areas remained intact. Villages began to build into the tree-line, beyond the stone walls of the city, and the stone walls themselves were grown, higher, and higher, as the sun dropped a second time, the town was lit by candle flame. But the night would be sleepless, people that had slept fro what felt like an eternity left their homes and went out, into the night to hunt and gather.
